Biography

“Spirit travels through time and space gathering the tools we need to fulfill our souls intent “ This statement reflects much about the way I think.

My family taught me the importance of community, college taught me to be a problem solver, and from life I have learned the power of the human Spirit. As you will see I wear many hats in life.

I made my way as a designer for many years after graduating from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1972 with a degree in Communications Design. While in college I created wood sculptures and paintings that were shown in national exhibits. After graduation I became an organizer for cultural events, helping artists including myself have venues for their work.

Much of my early years involved politically based grass roots community organizing. I found myself working with both profit and non-profit organizations and business. After many years as an activist, I saw a need to change my approach to creating a difference in this world. I found myself at Heartwood Institute looking for new skills. It was there that I was drawn to the Native American traditions. This plus my training as a Transformational Therapist lead me to see my creative process in a new way. After graduating, Heartwood hired me to manage the facilities and design a community system that improved the working relations between management, staff and students. Working and studying at Heartwood opened me to reclaim my connection to Spirit, the land and nature that goes deep into my soul.

As a Life Coach and artist my focus is to work with Spirit. My inspiration comes from connecting to someone and letting their essence guide me as I create art that reflects the unique quality of that person. These unique creations have made their way to many countries, and I feel blessed to have a connection to those special souls through my work.
Before leaving Heartwood I became a Real Estate Investor. This new adventure opened the doors for me to become involved with the community at large. I have been working on my creative ventures, fulfilling a dream of a creative, vibrant live. I am excited about the path and the journey.

Knowledge and learning are ways of life for me, and over the years I have continued to develop my skills and add to my tool kit. I invite you to co-create with me so I can work with your Spirit in creating a unique instrument of power for you.
