Many times in my life I have been called to make something for people, this picture shows my life coach-mentor spiritual teacher Alex Merrin holding a drum I made for her over10 years ago. I was guided by Spirit do the drum you see here. I was given the totems I was to use and the colors. After working on the drum for a few weeks I was able to deliver it to Alex.

When I gave it to her she looked at me with an inquisitive look. Why this?

At that time she was not committed to a Native American path and such a gift was a mystery. A few years later she was called learn and teacher in the Lakota traditions, she now uses this drum in many ceremonies and rituals. This is one of the ways I am blessed with a gift. I am now focusing more of my intentions on open to this call to work with spirit with Alex’s guidance

Brenda Bryan is a true sacred artist.  Her gift is the ability to see the very essence of all that she encounters.  This talent allows her to bring forth the spirit from the natural world and inter weave it with the spirit of an individual to create powerful healing tools. 

Brenda made me a beautiful Native American style rattle.  The rattle itself embodies the great spirit which I can feel flowing through me when lost in its song.  It's painting is simple yet elegant.  Lines honoring the four directions, one blue, one green, yellow, and red.  A small circle in the middle to remind me of the interconnectedness of all beings.

Brenda's love for her art and her connection with the sacredness of all things is the source from which many beautiful pieces have been created.  I feel very fortunate to have one of these pieces in my life.
